Geography is a discipline that integrates many subjects and addresses the physical, natural and human systems of the world in the study of people, places, and environments. The geographically literate student is able to interpret the landscape and understand the connections between his or her actions and the earth's physical systems. Through the study of geography students can develop an understanding of how local, regional, and global environments affect them. The skills developed by this integrative study can be applied to a wide range of potential careers.
