"Concours d'Art Oratoire" (French Public Speaking Contest) is starting. If your student wishes to participate, please advise their French Language teacher. The local CPF Chapter is pleased to offer a $50 Cineplex gift card to the winners at MRSS at each grade level 8 - 12 (Core French and French Immersion). Important dates for Concours are:
April 13/10 - SD 42 Finals @ PMSS
May 8/10 - Provincial Finals @ SFU Surrey Campus
Canadian Parents for French membership is ongoing throughout the year. Please consider printing off your own application form by going to www.cpf.bc.ca, click on the left side "Join CPF" and you will be able to fill it out at home. Please do not send it to Ottawa but rather simply send in the form to the MRSS Office, ATTN CPF, along with your cheque payable to CPF.
Note: In order for your child to be eligible for the annual Gr. 12 CPF $500.00 scholarship, you must be a CPF member since your student's Grade 10 year!
