Summer Registration & Transfer Information

Summer Registration

School District #42 has a policy which defines registration, due to space constraints. Put simply, MRSS will consider applications to register if you meet at least one of the following criteria:

• you live in our catchment
• you are registering in the French Immersion program and live within our French Immersion catchment
• or you have a sibling already attending MRSS

Due to space constraints there are no guarantees of acceptance, even if you meet these criteria, however we will make every effort to help you find a school to meet your needs. Each application to register is considered individually.

Applications to register can be made at the MRSS office during the last week of August and must be accompanied by the student's birth certificate, proof of residence (i.e.: lease agreement, utility bill, etc.), most current report card and withdraw forms from the previous school.

Transfers

Students wishing to transfer need to apply from the school they are currently registered with. Secondary Principals will meet at the end of August to consider transfer applications.

Students wishing to transfer to MRSS:
Students wishing to transfer to MRSS need to be aware that only transfer applications which meet the following criteria will be considered.
Students who:

• live in catchment or
• are applying to our French Immersion program and live in our French Immersion catchment or
• who have a sibling already attending MRSS.

Due to space constraints there are no guarantees even if you meet these criteria. Applications to transfer need to be made at the school where the student is currently registered.
